Tata Young (born Amita Marie Young 14 December 1980 in Thailand) is a Thai pop singer and actress.
Tata is a luk kreung (half Thai and half Caucasian, with an American father). She won a national talent contest at the age of 11, and was given her first professional contract at 14. I Believe (2004) is her first English-language album. The nickname Tata was chosen by her parents who visited India after she was born and liked the name Tata, which is one of India's largest industrial companies (Tata group).
She has acted in two films, The Red Bike Story (Jakkayan See Daeng), and O-Negative as well as the TV drama The Candle (Plai Tiean). She sang "Reach For The Stars" at the Bangkok opening ceremony for the 13th Asian Games in 1998 and also sang the English part of the title song for the Bollywood movie, Dhoom.
Indonesian Scottish T-Pop singer Joni Anwar (best known for being one-half of the pop duo Raptor) was in the same year as her at Bangkok Patana School.
